Another area which can dramatically increase the level of aesthetics to your property is garden lighting. Not only aesthetics, but import for the full functionality of a property, whether it be automatic (PIR) operated lights to light up vital pathways, security cameras or a full garden lighting installation to highlight some of your prized garden features.
Garden electrical installation work should be done by a competent contractor and the safety should be paramount for the electrical system. We always recommend installing Extra Low Voltage drivers at one or multiple locations and the rest of the garden electrical installation to be in low voltage circuits. Any mains voltage work in a garden we will always use SWA cabling when burying or laid in garden beds (unless clipped direct or unlikely that mechanical damage will occur). SWA is also a good idea for the Low Voltage circuits (although this is an optional upgrade as it is not a risk to life if there is damage to ELV circuits) as it offers a better level of protection against mechanical damage (damage from spades, shovels, rodents etc).
